# Shopify search filters are not showing

> Diagnose missing IntentSea storefront filters by checking the configured filter, source data, indexed metafields and plan access.

Filter configuration and filterable product data are separate. Check both before rebuilding the storefront.

## Troubleshooting checklist

- In **Filters** in the app, confirm the filter is enabled and its source matches the data you expect: price, availability, brand/vendor, product type, tags, collections, a variant option, tag prefix or a selected product metafield.
- Confirm products actually contain values for that field. An empty field produces no useful choices. For a metafield filter, first select and index that product metafield in Settings; only indexed text metafields can be added.
- Check the right page and plan. Collection-page filters are a Starter feature. Search-page filters and their setup can be reviewed from the Filters screen.
- Test on a page with products and remove other active filters. A filter choice only helps when matching products are present in the current result set.
- Save the configuration, refresh the storefront and test again after catalogue sync.

Examples such as `Size`, `Color`, or `roast` are useful only when those exact option values exist in the catalogue. The examples are not preset filters or merchant performance data.
