# Product filters for Shopify search and collection pages

Good filters turn a broad search into a short list. IntentSea Search adds store-specific filters to the search results page and, from the Starter plan, to collection pages.

## Filter fields

Filters can be built from price, brand, product type, tags, product options and metafields. In the Filters page of the admin you choose which fields appear, in which order, and whether a price range or a list is shown. Collection-page filters use the same configuration.

## Around the filters

- **Autocomplete** with product images and prices as shoppers type.
- **Synonyms, stop words and typo tolerance**, so a filtered search still starts from the right products.
- **Merchandising rules:** pin, boost, hide, bury or redirect results for a query, on a schedule if you like.
- **Swatches and text labels** for colour and badge display (Growth for swatches, Starter for text labels).
- **Analytics:** top searches, click-through rate and searches with no results.

## How it connects to your theme

Enable the **IntentSea Search & Filters** app embed in the Shopify theme editor, then add the optional Search Bar, Search Results, Collection Filters, Popular Searches and Breadcrumbs app blocks where you want them. It is built for Online Store 2.0 themes and needs no code edits. The app does not modify your products, orders or customers.
